Entry: The Cebu getaway May 5, 2004

I was like, wheeww, an hour back I was in Manila and now I'm in Cebu. More than just an experience, it was like an accomplishment for me (ang babaw noh!). Travelling is indeed an educational and enriching activity, a worthwhile escapade into places where you get out of your own system and try to explore what's in store in other systems (scientific mode).

My Cebu trip is more than a vacation and trip because aside from those I learned several things about principles, ideologies and convictions of people who have been tagged by the society as reds or militants. And the fact that I am part of the biggest alliance of tertiary student publications in whole of Asia, CEGP peeps has thought me something very opposite to my previous beliefs. Their influence couldn't just surpassed by anybody who's just starting to believe that everything is not really okay as is being shown and pretended by the government. One thing: the government is fooling us, that we are economically growing, politically improving, blah, blah.

Ah basta, nag-enjoy ako, marami akong naging kaibigan at kaaway, natuto ako. Yun lang po.
