Entry: Manila, I keep coming back to Manila! Apr 14, 2004

That old, croony song that used to entice people of the provinces.... and I am singing it now with a friend. Whatever mock reason your mind could masturbate, all I know is that I am back to where my feet truly belongs. The feeling of sense-fulfillment, and the excitement is beyong expression. Its just something I couldn't describe in one or couple of adjectives. Ah ok, it really felt good.

My coming here has something to do with my apprenticeship in CHED. I and Amir (a classmate) applied in the company and eventually accepted. And yeah, we were from the far-flung province of Sultan Kudarat. Its quite extra-ordinary for people who would be pondering on the thought that with all places to worked with in our place, we chose to be jack of all trades here in Manila. The idea sounds too stupid for people like us who should be better off in our sulky places who should maximize any available opportunities there for us. One answer could fill up that multitude inquiries: we charged it to experience! Hehehe...

Don't worry folks, we aren't totally a jack-of-all-trades here, we have relatives to cling on. Financially, we can see no problem (ang yabang!). However, we could be breaking or setting a new record for people like us: we were the very first students of sultan kudarat to go of all the way here just to complete an internship requirement. Sounds too impressive this time, huh? More than being able to visit places we could only see in the television in our province, we have proven we are far more reliable, dependent, highly-esteemed and wise than our classmates back in the province who settled in some companies there! We were doing things on the professional level capacity because we are assigned in a company surrounded by intellect ones. We were able to satisfy their needs and we have been able to render service that is far imaginable a probinsyano like us could do. After finishing our tasks with flying colors, we received praises that only proves that probinsyano are no doubt in equal footing with Manileņos in terms of management and leadership skills. That was proven already, however, the old and popular notion that probinsyanos are better off in the own provinces sometimes sways people like us to venture into an endeavor that will determine their success in the future.

I guess I have written so much waste and its time to bid goodbye since I don't have enough money to spend in satisfying this vanity. With all best hopes and luck, we remain adhering to standards and professionals by capacity.

The end.
